AVOL: Virtual Office for the Next 2 Weeks!

Coronavirus Situation Update for AVOL

Taking our lead from Governor Andy Beshear and information that continues to be provided locally from the Lexington Fayette County Health Department and Mayor Linda Gorton and the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, we believe that it is in the best interest of the people we serve to move to a vitual office for service delivery over the next 2 weeks. We have decided to take the necessary precautions, to reduce the risk, and do our part to strive for zero new infections! This coronavirus is a sneaky character and we want to keep our clients safe and well. We're not willing to take the chance.

We hope to resume regular office operations beginning Monday, March 30th.

Client and Housing Services: You may reach us via contact information found at www.avolky.org or by calling (859)225-3000. Someone will call you back and we anticipate being able to assist you remotely, without having to be seen in person. Stay home, stay well!

Prevention, HIV/HepC/STI Testing: All testing including our regular walk-in testing hours as well as testing via our outreach services will be unavailable during the next two weeks. You may reach us via contact information found at www.avolky.org or by calling (859)225-3000 for Information, education, as well as up to date information about when we believe testing will resume. We may also be able to provide you with prevention supplies immediately.

We appreciate your understanding as we take these extreme measures in this unprecedented public health crisis. We will continue to monitor the situation and keep the public and our clients informed if there are any changes to the above plan.

Our monthly Empowerment Meetings for March and April continue to be cancelled.

We hope not to cancel our AIDS Walk for 2020 on April 26th. We've not given up on it yet, but will keep everyone informed.
