AVOL Kentucky’s New “Wellness Wednesdays” Offers Free HIV and STI Testing, PrEP, and More for English and Spanish Speakers

New weekly drop-in clinic begins November 5, expanding access to essential health resources, for all

Lexington, KY (November 4, 2025) – AVOL Kentucky is making it easier than ever to access critical health services with the launch of Wellness Wednesdays, a new weekly event designed to connect individuals to free HIV and STI testing, PrEP and PEP consultations, and other wellness resources, all under one roof.

The first Wellness Wednesday takes place tomorrow, Wednesday, November 5, from 1–5 PM at AVOL Kentucky’s office located at 1824 Hill Rise Drive, Suite 100, Lexington. The event will continue weekly as an ongoing effort to expand access to sexual health care and prevention resources for all members of the community.

Visitors can stop by without an appointment for:

  • Free HIV and STI testing
  • On-site PrEP and PEP consultations with a licensed medical provider who can prescribe PrEP
  • Prevention supplies and resource connections
  • Spanish interpretation services, provided in partnership with Access Language Solutions

“All are welcome,” said AVOL’s Executive Director Jon Parker. “We want to remove as many barriers as possible so people can access testing, prevention, and care in a safe, welcoming environment. Wellness Wednesdays are about making that easier, every week.”

“Access to care saves lives, and access should never depend on who you are or where you come from,” added Andrew Shayde, AVOL Director of Development and Communication. “Wellness Wednesdays bring prevention and testing directly to the community, no appointments, no cost, just compassionate care when and where people need it.”
