Each year we proudly host several exciting events that allow us to gather as a community, support those living with HIV, and encourage and assist the medically fragile through our health care, housing and social services outreach. We, of course, have lots of exciting opportunities to celebrate, work together on mission, and love the communities we serve… however, our three biggest and most robust events are listed below.
Our Annual Events
HeartStrings: Affordable Housing, Healthy Living
Description
HeartStrings is AVOL Kentucky’s mid-winter breakfast event highlighting the vital connection between housing and good health.
AVOL Kentucky is focused on raising awareness and funding to create new and innovative housing opportunities for individuals facing medical vulnerability, including those affected by HIV/AIDS. Proceeds from HeartStrings will be directed to the Timothea Branham Memorial Housing Development and Assistance Fund.

Lexington Aids Walk
Description
The Lexington AIDS Walk is an annual fundraiser presented by AVOL Kentucky to raise additional HIV/AIDS awareness, develop long term solutions, and implement measures with the goal of one day eradicating the disease once and for all. Join AVOL Kentucky for their Annual AIDS Walk by signing up as an individual, starting a team, or making an online donation. Since the very beginning our community has come together to walk together until it’s over.

Dining Out for Life
Description
Dining Out For Life® is our annual fundraising event involving the generous participation of volunteers, corporate sponsors and restaurants. The concept is simple: Restaurants donate a generous percent of their sales to AVOL Kentucky, and we coordinate all of the event details with area restaurants and the general public.
Make your plans to gather with friends, family, neighbors and co-workers at one of the many fine restaurant locations. With so many of Lexington’s best dining establishments opening their doors and hospitality, Dining Out for Life is always one of our community’s most exciting days!

Home for the Holidays
Description
It’s a Fact. Stable Housing Saves Lives.
Each holiday season, 100% of donations to AVOL Kentucky to our efforts to help create a warm and secure home for our community.
Our efforts provide help like emergency housing support, including rent and utility assistance, emergency food and clothing, emergency home cleaning and hygiene care packages, and household set-up.
Housing is Healthcare!
On average, 87% of those served by AVOL stay consistent with their medical care and medication adherence, which leads to reduced or ‘undetectable’ HIV levels in the body. At these levels, people feel better and cannot pass the virus to others.
The support you can provide directly impacts stable housing, improved health outcomes, and expanded HIV prevention.
